Winifred Lender, Ph.D.
Dr. Lender is a graduate of Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania. She completed a two-year fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia/ University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. With over twenty years of experience as a psychologist in various settings, she currently maintains a private practice.
Dr. Lender presents frequently on various psychology-related topics, is the author of a book on digital balance, and writes frequent columns on psychology topics. She is a past President of the Santa Barbara County Psychological Association. Dr. Lender is a member of the California Psychological Association and the Santa Barbara County Psychological Association. She has served on local community boards including the Storyteller Children's Center Advisory Board, the Crane Country Day Board of Trustees, and the Foundation for Santa Barbara High School Board.

Dr. Lender's experience has been varied in the settings she has worked in and the type of clients she has worked with. It includes work in private practice, a hospital setting, a residential facility for autism, a school, and a community mental health clinic. She feels the breadth of this clinical experience has enhanced her clinical skills and ability to provide support for clients with a variety of presentations. In addition, to clinical work, Dr. Lender has engaged in teaching, research, writing, and supervising psychology graduate students. She is also involved in advocacy work through volunteer participation on local boards.
